  1. Lecture: Overview of Field Trip:"Growth Faulting and Depositional Environments of the Pennsylvanian"

  2. 10:00 AM –12:00 Noon     Looking at the Railroad outcrops.  Observing faulting and depositional environments at RR cuts across Brazos River, then head to town of Milsap to tour Acme Brick Company facility. Union Pacific will have a flagman present and he will stop traffic so this timing may vary in accordance with traffic.  We and the UP do not want people on the right-of-way during traffic people on the right-of-way during traffic

  3. 9:00–10:00 AM   - Bob Traylor will make a presentation on geology of the area and on what we are going to see, which will include Carlos Aiken's radar/photo realistic scan of the two railroad cuts along the Brazos that will be matched to Karen Steel's geological interpretation.  • AEG-Texas Summer Field TripJuly 18, 19, 20, 2003
