  2. Declaration on Human Rights (1948) - every human being has the same rights for attaining education and being involved in cultural sphere Higher Education Act (ZOVŠ) - every Slovenian citizen has the same rights for gaining education from a college

  3. Student Organisation of the University in Ljubljana • From September through December - series of round-table talks on the topic of special needs students organised (laws, regulations, acquisition of the status of a special needs student, rights of special needs students, equal rights, the attitude of various faculties towards special needs students etc.) • A booklet with all the information and advice for special needs students and people working in this sphere • Tenders for co-financing projects in the social and health area (specifically on the theme of opportunities and integration of special needs students) • Advisory service and a website forum to help students with various problems and questions

Student Organisation of the University in Maribor • “The Friendly University” - the latest part of the project included the co-financing of a wheelchair lift at the former Faculty of Education (Faculty of Education, Faculty of Natural Science and Mathematics and the Faculty of Arts) • Last year we co-financed assistive aids for the disabled (these include hearing aids, digital recorders, etc). • In every project designed to inform current and future students we also include useful information for disabled students – be it booklets in digital or printed form. • The Student Organisation supports the office of the Slovenian Association of Disabled Students in Maribor with donations and public tenders. • The Department for University Politics - permanent project running, which enables disabled students to have individual lectures for the subjects that cause them problems.

Student Organisation of the University of Primorska • At the Student Organisation of the University of Primorska, topics connected to disabled students are the domain of the Advisory Institution of Primorska (PRIMSS). • Office of the Slovenian Association of Disabled Students at the premises of PRIMSS (helps disabled students with applying for the next year, adapting the study obligations, accessibility, gathering information, solving residence problems, etc.) • Goal - to set up a support system for disabled students at the University of Primorska, and thus enabling equal opportunities for all disabled students independent of the level of disability. • Slovenian Association of Disabled Students also participates in various projects and events of the Student Organisation, such as Healthy May, ŠOUP bazaar, book fair, etc.
