  4. Alter- Ego Consulting: what is our approach? • Action oriented: all our work should result in decisions affecting the running of the enterprise. • Focused on implementation: we stay with the assignment to include implementation, sometimes taking the decision making role too. • All practice, no theory: the focus is on what is practical and what can be done next Monday morning. • Very intelligent and deep analysis: good decisions flow out of rational thought, uncluttered by bias • Driven by a sense of urgency: by definition the work we do needs to be done well, and done in time.

  5. What is our governing principle? Simply stated, we evaluate all options on the basis of ‘what is good for the client?’ We are on the side of client at every stage of the consulting process. We act as the mirror image of the client; we are the ‘other you’ and hence the name Alter-Ego. Our recommendations are the decisions we would take ourselves if we are in the clients’ shoes. We believe the client deserves a transparent and unselfishapproach to critical decision making situations encountered during the acquisition and integration process.

  6. Not overly focused on reports, nor presentations! We are not report oriented nor overly focused on making power-point presentations. Our work does not stop with a final presentation of findings; it may only begin at that point. Having said that we may use short memo style reports, simple action packed presentations to bring common alignment around the decisions we propose. Alter-Ego is all about predictable results arising out of intelligent actions. There is no premium for spoken or written word.
