Verizon in Charleston-Background • Joined CDCA in 2008 • Intro’d at AFCEA meeting by Brian Lindgren, President, now with Imagine One • Worked closely with WareOnEarth (now an SMS co) and partnered with them on local contracts. A Charleston based SB when we initially partnered on the DREN effort • Various discussions with Pete Hyers, Steve Jarrett, Tao Rocha, Mike Kutch; others ongoing to uncover available solutions and recommendations • Our Security team members recently attend classified AOC event led by Rich Jenson LCE • Attend C5ISR events • Attended Mega Community symposiums and 1Q meeting @ Huntsville • Seeking to team and partner as capabilities fit projects in Charleston

They’ve received Verizon’s Supplier Excellence Awards for Environmental Excellence and Reverse Logistics three times during the past four years.

Minority Education Institutions – HUBZone • Verizon Business provides maximum, practicable procurement opportunities to Historically Black Colleges, Universities, and Minority Institutions • Verizon Business continues to monitor SBA's approved list of HUBZone certified companies • Uses good faith effort approach to subcontract with these companies to the maximum extent practicable. • Verizon Business has established a percentage goal for HUBZone participants in this plan • Verizon Business will report its accomplishment toward these goals annually to the USPS.
