  1. Do Now: Answer the following questions, and take out your homework. • Is Facebook or Twitter a better social networking site? • If you could bring only 3 things to a deserted island, what would they be? • What is the worst injury you’ve ever had? LIFE

  2. Active Listening Activity: • Pair up with someone in the class who you do not know well. • Share your answers to the questions, practicing listening. LIFE

  4. Objectives: -Define what it means to be living through an active class discussion -Identify the characteristics of living organisms on Earth - Recognize the importance of observations and repeated testing in science

  5. Develop 10 questions that include the word life in it or any derivatives of the word life. For example: What is life?
