  2. What does it do ? • It allows us to connect JANUS comms lines to other networked PCs • It gets around the Jancomms limitation of 9 comm ports

  3. Prerequisites • Must be on a network with TCP/IP transport layer • Slowest network link - 64k bit • Must be run on Windows NT • It will run on Windows 95/98 but if anyone starts using the PC comms problems WILL occur

  4. Line type : Network comms port Remote computers name Set-up the remote comms port Set-up

  5. Future development • Will be re-written as a NT service • The program will run without having to log-on to the PC • Be used on the local machine to get around the 9 port limitation • Also support modems for connecting to RLCs
