  2. Light • We see a lot of things during the day maybe at school or at your home. But did you ever stop to think that when we see any of these things, we are not directly connected to it? We are, in fact, seeing light -- light that somehow left objects far or near and reached our eyes. Light is all our eyes can really see. Light not only helps us see, it lets us see. Light travels at the speed of about 186,000 miles an hour or about 700 million miles an hour.

  3. What is Color? • Color is such an everyday thing that we don't usually think about it a lot. But colors can make surprising looks, for example, in the way they mix together. • Color is when light makes or reflects different qualities.

  4. How they are related. • Color is just light waves that hit our eyes, and how our eyes see those light waves. • How close together the light waves are determines the color we see.
