Grewia Asiatica | Tasha's Artisan Foods

Grewia Asiatica - Some foods take me right back to my childhood, like today’s star – Phalsa/ Falsa, also known as Grewia asiatica. We used to pick up this small red purple berry-like fruit from the street vendors, eat it with black salt/kala namak. Oh of the simple days and simple treats!! In its honour I have today, Phalsa Sharbat. The quintessential summer cooler. 1. TASHA’S ARTISAN FOODS

  2. About Us The thing with good, fresh, preservative-free food is that the taste will always linger on; it provides a memorable experience, one which makes you stop and savour the food and moment. We are talking about TAF’s wholesome bakes, crunchy nutritious granola, divine brownies, hearty breads and more. Truly great food goes beyond the taste - it must be nutritional, healthy and pleasurable. Our flavourful, carefully sourced local ingredients, coupled with organic flour and grains are why TAF’s bakes look, feel, and smell so natural.

  3. Cashew Chocolate Chia Pudding This Cashew Chocolate Chia Pudding comes with their own health benefits and I do use them a lot. Keep in mind, they will swell up more than chia. You may have to adjust the quantity used accordingly. You do have to use a little extra liquid to make sure the texture doesn’t get gloopy.

  4. Instant Ragi ( Fingermillet) Dosa This Instant Ragi Dosa came into our lives and now its dosa night at least twice a week. Ragi, also known as nachani, has a unique, rustic taste and immense health benefits. It’s a nutrient rich cereal, which really does need to come to the fore. Its gluten-free and very easy to digest, perfect for people with gluten intolerance.

  5. Avocado Cucumber Almond Dip The ingredients for Avocado Cucumber Almond Dip are simple and few and your blender does all the work. Store it in an airtight jar for 4-5 days and its still as good as new. We love it with crackers, vegetable sticks, on our toasts, in our sandwiches and its a wonderful salad dressing.

  6. Mango Coconut Muffins Mango Coconut Muffins are one of the quickest baked treats I whip up for my family. No electric mixers required, two bowls and a handful of basic pantry ingredients. They taste the best straight out of the oven, though you can refrigerate them for a couple of days. A quick reheat in the microwave and they are good to go.
