  3. Nectar Net • Grew out of a need for better connectivity. • Quickly found many others interested in better connectivity with Africa. • But Africa is Hard • 11 million sq miles • 600 million people • 54 countries (48 Sub-Saharan) • Hardest of all is telecommunications Nectar Net

Nectar Net • A high capacity, high performance International network connection. • Currently working on • West and South Africa • Several connections using SAT3 (Sesimbra) • Dakar, Accra, Lagos, Douala, Cape Town. • Perhaps future expansion • Deeper penetration (Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger) • Central and East Africa • India using SAFE Nectar Net
