  3. HOW • A. First, a standard series • Standard 1: “Quality Assurance of Student Placements (QASP) – Fundamentals and vocabulary” including the basics the core language - A guidance document, not used for certification purposes. • Standard 2: “QASP requirements” - analytically the exact requirements which the enterprise needs to fulfil. This is the only implementation for which the auditors of third party may grant certification. • Standard 3: “Quality systems for management of Student Placements” - Guidelines for performance. It gives advice on how to establish a certified RCPP and what could be done to enhance a mature system. • Source of inspiration ISO 9000 series • Difference – much simpler, no formalisms - max ONE written procedure that could take the form of a simple questionnaire/checklist to be filled in by the Enterprises

  4. ROADMAP • Identifying existing RCPP’s or equivalent in Europe and making a database for consultations on the standard texts. • EUA and ENQA to be also consulted • Upon adoption of the standard – EUE-Net becomes automatically ACCREDITATION body at European level for QASP: • Accreditation procedure following all standards for such a body • Invitation of the RCPP to be certified (EUE-Net partners and active ones – free) • At the end of EUE-Net project official demand at European Commission for recognition as accreditation body • Accredited RCPP – could issue “Erasmus” certificates to the enterprises according to the QASP standard. Certificates recognized at European level

  5. The Network of Networks • EUE-Net – accreditation body with appropriate committees • - accreditation activities (auditors and experts) • RCPP – Certification body – more or less as it is now but: • A standard procedure for certification • Surveillance of the certified enterprises for any placement not only for their students • The network of networks – automatically structured in an tree like way

  6. The series of standards development  Q-Planet, 6 months The RCPP (or equivalent) database and contact, invitation at the 5th Conference  EUE-Net, 3 months Consultations on the QASP texts with stakeholders: RCPP’s, EUA, ENQA, EURASHE, SEFI, CESAR etc.  Indirect dissemination and subsequent recognition afterwards Urgent tasks
