  1. How can I help my child survive the EOG’s?? Parent’s guide to help to your child be at their best on the EOG’s

  2. When are the EOG’s??? The EOG’s will take place on: • Tuesday, May 29 in the AM • Wednesday, May 30 in the AM • Thursday, May 31 in the AM

  3. Quick Notes: • Please make sure your child is on time. If your child is late they may have to take the test in another room, with a different teacher. • Please make sure your child is present on all days of the EOG’s. If they are absent they will have to make up the test when they return.

  4. The weekend before…. • The weekend before the EOG’s should be stress free and include your child’s favorite activities.

  5. The nights before the EOG’s…. • The nights before the EOG’s your child should have their clothes ready for the next day (don’t forget the footwear). Their outfits should be comfortable and include a light jacket. Having your child’s clothing ready will create less stress in case of a late start to the morning.

  6. Night of the EOG’s continued… Make sure your child goes to bed at a reasonable time. They need a good amount of sleep to help them perform their best on the test.

  7. Each morning of EOG’s… Surprise your child with a home-cooked nutritious breakfast. This will help create a great start to your child’s day and give them the energy they need to do their best on the test.

  8. An encouraging note… Before your child gets on the bus or dropped off at school, hand them a note with a personal message from you. The encouraging note will ease their mind before taking the test.

  9. In Conclusion… Working together and using these helpful suggestions, we can provide a stress free atmosphere in which your child can achieve their very best on the EOG’s.
