The United States (Federal) Government Ohio Government Indiana Government California Government Montana Government Maryland Government Local Government Local Government Local Government Local Government Local Government * In a FEDERAL SYSTEM OF GOVT, the FEDERAL GOVT grants it’s member states a significant amount of power, duties and responsibly but subordinates them to the FEDERAL GOVT in certain cases * * While the U.S. is federal, the STATES themselves are UNITARY– local gov’t has only the authority granted to it by the STATE GOVT under their state constitution or by legislative acts *
