  2. Introduction This is a question-and-answer PowerPoint about India. It talks about New Delhi, the population, lifestyle of people in India, sports they do, the national food, the Flora and Fauna, landscapes, TajMahal, religions, and some festivals they have in India.

  3. What are some interesting things about New Delhi, the capital? New Delhi is a unique city. Almost at every single hotel or resort, you can see people riding elephants. It is also the third largest city in Northern India. A cool thing about New Delhi is that there is an International Toilet Museum there.

  4. A lot of people live in India, what is the population? The last count in 2009 was 1.14 billion people. China is the only country in Asia that is more populated that India.

  5. Interesting things about people in India In India, extended families are very important. A lot of kids live with their grandparents, as well as their uncles, aunts, cousins, and of course, parents. Cousins are brought up with each other just like brothers and sisters; in fact, there isn’t even a word for cousin in their language.

  6. Sports in India People in India love to play a globally loved sport, cricket. It was introduced to them when the Europeans came years ago. Sometimes, even the newspapers’ front page has Cricket news splashed on it.

  7. What are some national foods in India? For a lot of Indians, diet is a big part of their religion. Hindus don’t eat beef, and Muslims don’t eat pork. The delicious curry is loved by everyone in India. An Indian snack is the bhelpuri. It’s a mixture of puffed rice, chickpeas, onions, tomatoes, and green peppers. Seafood is served a lot, and rice is in almost every single meal.

  8. Some national animals in India India’s national bird is the beautiful peacock, even though more than 1,200 kinds of birds live there. Southern India is the home of leopards, Asiatic lions, Asian Elephants, and India rhinos. India is the only country with both tigers and lions living in the wild.

  9. Famous landscapes in India The tallest mountains in Asia, the Himalayas, stretch across the Northern border of India. They grow three inches taller every year.

  10. TajMahal TajMahal is located in the city of Agra, and is one of India’s most famous monuments. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahanduring the years 1632-16533 for memorial of his wife, Queen MumtazMahal.

  11. What are some religions in India? The most common religion in India is Hinduism. Hindus pray to many gods and believe you get a new life on Earth after you die. A lot of Muslims also live in India. They pray to one god, Allah. When the Europeans came to India, they brought Christianity to some people, too.

  12. Some Celebrations in India Since there are many religions, there are many celebrations, too. Hindus celebrate Holi, Diwali and Dusshera. Muslims celebrate Ramadan. That is when Muslims eat during the night and not the daytime for a month. Christian Indians celebrate Christmas and Easter.
