Here's a little secret: hiring managers often decide whether or not to interview someone based on the first 15 seconds of seeing their resume! http://www.healthdatamanagement.com/blogs/health_executive_resume_writing-42561-1.html Resumes
What you have to offer the company—your qualifications and expertise. • How much relevant experience you have and for what length of time you did it. • How your work impacted your employer’s bottom-line—what are your quantifiable results. Hiring managers need only three basic pieces of information from your resume:
Objective versus profile Objective To get a challenging job as a Customer Service Manager so that I can learn more and excel in my career Profile Results-oriented manager with extensive experience in the retail industry with a 10-year track record of success.
Provide quantitative data wherever possible. Make it measureable, “I supervised a staff of 15”, “I increased production by 25%” Order of information. If you are a recent graduate or your education is your key qualification, then you would want to list education first. If you have relevant professional experience, then you would want to lead with your experience
Leave off the personal information. The need for including hobbies has long since past. Employers want to know what professional organizations/clubs you are a member of (college possible), what awards you have won (honor roll), etc. • Legible Font. You want to make sure that all the information is legible. Also, use THE SAME font.
