  1. Fight With words not weapons. Debate. -William- -Tafs- Leander Debate Club

  2. Get into Debate • Debate is a club that’s main focus is gaining and improving communication skills in every single member.

  3. What the students say… • Are you going to be involved in debate this year? • 20 Students said Yes, 30 Students said No. • What is the main reason you’re going to be getting involved? • 12 Students said because it looks like a fun opportunity • 8 Students said because their friends want them to • Do you plan on staying 100% active through out the year? • All 20 Students said yes • Do you plan on joining again next year? • All 20 students said based on what they know about the club now, they will be involved again next year.

  4. Keep on debatin’ • At some point or another everyone has had a ‘debate’ whether it be an argument with • someone or just discussing a topic back and fourth. • Since everyone is already debating pretty much every where they go, why not take • advantage of this opportunity and join the debate club? The only difference is it’s • more organized and you are not addressing the person you’re debating against, • instead you are addressing the audience and the judges.
