QUICK REVIEW OF CURRENT CRITERIA • All colleges population statistics will be reviewed annually • There are 11 criteria evaluated • Black student enrollment in comparison to each college’s census population of their service area. • Hispanic student enrollment in comparison to each college’s census population of their service area.

QUICK REVIEW OF CURRENT CRITERIA contd. • Asian student enrollment in comparison to census population of each college’s service area. • Female enrollment in comparison to census population of each college’s service area. • Enrollment for disabled students in comparison to census data for each college’s service area.

QUICK REVIEW OF CURRENT CRITERIA contd. • Enrollment in Developmental Studies is compared by race, ethnicity, gender, and disability to the population in each college’s service area using the above ranges. • Faculty, executive/management, and other professional staff by race, ethnicity, and gender in comparison to census data for the labor force for the college’s service area.

QUICK REVIEW OF CURRENT CRITERIA contd. • Local Board advisor/council’s membership in comparison to census labor force or population data for the college’s service area. • Time elapsed since last visit from TCSG’s civil rights team. In the case of a tie, the number of complaints filed with the U.S. office of Civil Rights are considered.

  7. Scoring • Each criterion is worth one point. They are added together to get a total score for each college. • The colleges are then ranked and those with the lowest scores who have not already been visited within the last 10 years will receive an on site visit. • Two colleges receive an on site visit each year.

  8. Scoring contd. Targeting review will not be done on all colleges • Colleges have been divided into six groups based on the demographics of each college’s service area. • Colleges are only compared with the colleges in their group. • Each year two of these six groups will be reviewed. The college with the lowest score within each group will receive an on site visit as long if they have not received a visit within the last ten years. • The college with the lowest score within each group will receive an on site visit as long as they have not received a visit within the last ten years.
