Sharing Photos • Why share your photos? • Everyone enjoys seeing photos of friends and family • Great way to keep in contact • Many ways to do this • From the simple to the exotic • E.g. from email to MS Photo Story to DVD • Assume that you know how to edit and organize • Previous UG and Seminars • Picasa • MS Photo Story • GCCLC graphics classes • Only using Windows XP or Freeware

  3. Today I’ll Show Four Basic Ways • Email • Easy • Requires recipient to have email • Can require multiple sends • No control on viewing or presentation • Burn a CD • Easy • Can be sent in mail • Can contain a lot of hi-res files • Viewed on computer or TV • Possible to add music

Today (cont.) • HTML Slideshow • Viewed using web browser – no need for a graphics program • Can control presentation, titling, comments and sequencing • Can be more complicated – user choice! • On-line Album • Only one upload to the website – but then anyone can view • Easy to maintain • Recipients can order prints

Create Albums • Creating albums • Can be done in one of your Photo Editing Programs • Picasa • Adobe Photo Elements • Microsoft Picture It • One that came with your digital camera – Canon, Camedia, Nikon • However, we will use the simple method • Windows Explorer • First create new folders • Name them for our Albums • E.g. Grandkids, Wedding, Hawaii trip, etc • Then copy pictures to these folders • Then we’re ready to go!!
