Technology Details: TAS • System is built on Microsoft Platform • Architecture of the system: 3-tier • Communication to Field instruments: At Middle tier • System can supports all standard RDMS available in the market • Built on Microsoft Framework 3.5 • Using Microsoft WCF services for Communication • MODBUS-RS232/RS-485, USB and TCP/IP for Communication

Major Features of TAS • Supports all preloading, Loading & Post Loading operations • Data Management: System can be used with different RDBMS. • Database contains: • Truck/Tanker Data base: Vehicle no., Owner's Name, Carrying Capacity, Empty Weight, Loading details etc. • Client information: Customers Name, Contact details, Dispatch details, customer/site wise etc. • Report Generation: Various reports can be scheduled and generated for management analysis & review: • Time based Terminal/Truck/Customer/Site/Product wise loading report, error reports • Audit Trail Maintenance: Abnormal conditions/Field events are logged with time stamping for future audit. • Alarm generation & Logging

  6. Major Features of TAS • Standard terminal graphics provide a real-time visualization of terminal activity. One can view multiple virtual displays, control tabs, graphs and data lines from connected devices (individual or simultaneously) on the same screen. • System makes extensive use of best of breed software and database technology interfacing with enterprise resource planning software. • The software handles hardware interfaces, process control and secure-access management for the terminal. • System can be configured to interface with different makes of field instruments: Flow meters, PLC, Weighing system, Card reader (for access control) etc. • Scalable System: The system can be used for single point loading or multiple point loading. Features allow the system to accommodate a small terminal to large terminal. It provides support for future expansion of operations without losing the initial investment.

  29. Sick Reason Screen

Three types of reasons while user adding a new record. • Sick Reasons - Used when authorized user want to declare the Truck as sick for specified [From – To] period. • Release Reasons - Used when authorized user lifting the bar for the truck which is previously declared as sick. • Cancel Truck Reasons – Used when the truck is cancelled at that time user has to select reason for cancellation. • Authorized User can Modify and Delete Existing Reasons.

Control Center Screen Description • Manager,Supervisor & Operator all access this page. • Screen displays following parameters:- • Bay no- No of bay on screen • Status- Idle or Loading • Preset Quantity-Calculated based on RLW & ULW • Loaded Quantity-Refreshed value comes from the FMS controller • Start Button-Open dialogue to select truck for loading from the queue • Alarm-When flow is going on & status is idle at that time color of alarm will be red.

Control Center Screen Description • Screen displays following parameters:- • Mode – Responding ,Not Responding or Maintenance • ATW & MAQ • When click on start loading button dialogue will open with list of truck in queue. User select truck & data will be populated there condition is check ATW + Preset should not be greater than 40000. • If the condition is violated then use can't click on load button otherwise click on load button & command will send to FMS controller to start filling in truck.

Control Center Screen Description • When user select one bay all the information related to that truck displays in the lower portion of the screen. • Current flow of bitumen is visualized in the Graph with flow rate value. • This lower panel also provide facility of stop loading & changing preset value. • Changed value should be greater than current preset value. • Provides facility to open tare weight calculation,Gross weight calculation,slip generation & Daily services dialogues. • Emergency button stops the loading of all bays Currently in Loading state.

Tare Weight Calculation Screen Description • Manager,Supervisor & Operator all access this page. • Search facility on Truck No. • After selecting Truck no displays all details related to it. • If truck no is not matched then dialogue appears on the screen with search facility. • If weighing mode is Auto then Actual Tare Weight comes from Weighting machine through serial port. • Otherwise it is in manual mode .In that case user has to enter Actual Tare Weight manually. • After that user has to click Process ATW button.

  37. Tare Weight Calculation Screen Description • If auto preset is not within the allowable range then truck is rejected. • Otherwise click on add truck in queue. • User also removes truck from the queue using remove truck from queue button.

Gross Weight Calculation Screen Description • Manager,Supervisor & Operator all access this page. • Search facility on Truck No. • After selecting Truck no displays all details related to it. • If truck no is not matched then dialogue appears on the screen with search facility. • If weighing mode is Auto then Actual Gross Weight comes from Weighting machine through serial port. • Otherwise it is in manual mode .In that case user has to enter Actual Gross Weight manually. • After that user has to click Process AGW button.

  40. Gross Weight Calculation Screen Description • Actual net weight & Difference weight of actual net weight & actual loaded quantity calculated • Save all when click on Save AGW button • Facility to generate print of Gross weight data.

  42. Slip Generation Screen Description • Display load completion truck in the List. • Based on selection of truck from List it will display related information on screen. • When click on Generate Slip it will save record in database. • Provides facility to print Load Completion slip.

Slip Generation Screen Description • Display load cancel truck in the List. • Based on selection of truck from List it will display related information on screen. • Before generating Load Cancel slip two things should be done. • Select the Cancel reason from List. • Perform the Gross Weight calculation for the selected Truck. • After performing above two step when click on Generate Slip it will save record in database. • Provides facility to print Load Cancel slip.
