  1. Peroxide-Forming Chemicals • Some organic liquids potentially form explosive peroxide crystals when exposed to air or light. Longer storage time increases the chance of crystal formation. • The Chemical Hygiene and Safety Plan (CHSP) lists common peroxide-forming chemicals, safe storage times, and testing frequencies. • Store, label, and test peroxide formers according to the CHSP. • Check MSDSs and bottle labels for chemicals not listed in the CHSP.
