Keep the router turned on throughout the setup. • First, connect the Seagate Central device to your network router using an Ethernet cable. • Now, plug in the power cable to the Seagate Central device and connect the other end to an electrical outlet. • Turn on your Mac computer and connect it to the same network. You can either connect your Mac computer to the router using an Ethernet cable, or connect it wirelessly. • Go to the official Seagate website from your web browser. • Select the Seagate Central option and navigate to the Setup page. • Click on the Start Here button represented by an Apple icon. • Open Finder and locate the Seagate device under the Shared tab on the left panel.
