  3. Initiating the Journal Generator Process Step 1 Begin by navigating to the Generate Journals Request page. Click theScroll Downarrow.

  8. Initiating the Journal Generator Process Step 6 The Run Control ID is an identifier that, when paired with your User ID, uniquely identifies the process you are running. The Run Control ID allows important parameters to be available for a process when it runs, which ensures that when a process runs in the background it does not prompt for additional values. The system stores all the parameters, which are associated with Run Control IDs and User IDs.

  9. Initiating the Journal Generator Process Step 7 You can run this report by searching for an existing Run Control ID or you can add a new value, thus creating your own Run Control ID. Click theAdd a New Valuetab.

Initiating the Journal Generator Process Step 15 Use the Accounting Definition Name field to select the definition that inlcudes the parameters for the accounting entries from which you want to generate journals entries for posting within PeopleSoft General Ledger. Enter the desired information into theAccounting Definition Namefield. Enter"APDEFN".

Enter the required journal criteria and any additional criteria to limit the results, and click the Search button to display Journal IDs based on your selected criteria.
