  2. Introduction A video game is a game that involves the interaction with a users interface to generate visual feedback on a video device. The idea of video games came about in 1948 by Thomas T. Goldsmith Jr. and Estle Ray Mann. VideoGames were first introduced as a commercial entertainment medium in 1971, becoming the basis for an important entertainment industry in the late 1970s to the early 1980s in the United States, Japan, and Europe. The video game industry did not become firmlyestablished until 1972. There are many different types of video game systems, for example, the Ps3, the Xbox, and the Wii. Video games can be characterized as “for teens", "for everyone” or even “mature.” Do video games have its advantages and disadvantages? Are there any problems or ethical issues against this new technology?

  3. Description Most video games have reward systems, which are scores that is based on the accomplishment of tasks, set within the game. The “video” in video games used to be referred to as a “raster” display device. In the present day world, the word video in video games is any type of display device. Developments these days commonly require a large team consisting of designers, graphic designers, programmers, musicians, and other technicians. There are different types of video games like: computer video games and video games for system.

  5. Advantages of Video Games Some video games leave good impacts on a person who plays it. Video games sharpens ones reflexes and in instant decision making. It also enhances manual agility. There are educational video games that teach people the basics of life. An example is leaf frog which teaches mainly children how to read, write and do other things that will be of benefit to them in life. Video games create a state of mind where kids can concentrate better and be more aware of what is going on around them.

Disadvantages of Video Games Different ways certain video games can be at a disadvantage for who ever is playing them: • Can be violent; shooting and thieving (GTA and Resident Evil) • Can have nudity (Sin City) • Can have obscene language • Video games might become the first thing in someone's life (for example: Children coming home from school and going straight to the video games and they don’t do their home-work.)

  9. Video Games in the Past When video games were just invented it was directed to children. Video games were played when children came home from school and have also finished their home-work. As time progressed video games became one of the top priorities of a child’s life. Over time, video games evolved and also video games systems. These games have changed from intelligent, calm and productive games to violence and killing. As time went on games have became a big world wide seller and more and more children are playing them.

  11. Video Games in the Present Now in the present, most people are familiar with video games. Video games have become one of the main products in the world, especially America. Games now are more realistic and use more of your physical and mental ability. Every year different companies come out with a new and improved system or game.

  12. The Future of Video Games! In the future video game companies will come out with games and also systems to blow your mind away. Do you ever wonder what the future would be like? Do you think you will be happier with more and better video games whether they are violent or not? Many artists also come out with video games of their own. For example, 50 Cent, he came out with him own games. No one can predict what is going to happen. Maybe your kids will play Rich Boy’s video games or maybe Paula DeAnda’s video game. As the years go by Video games will evolve and may be come number one major seller in the world.

  14. How Video Games Affect Society Some video games have good and bad affects on society. They may change the behavior of some people and they may also lead to the motivation to crime. Many games are violent and use the tactic of violence and killing to get away from their miseries. Do you know that video games leave teenagers emotionally aroused? Well, now you know! Adolescents who play violent video games may exhibit lingering effects on brain function, including increasing activity in the region of the brain that governs emotional arousal and also decreasing activity in the brain's executive function, which is associated with control, focus and concentration.
