  10. Lingyin Temple The oldest temple of Hangzhou.The presence of a temple on this site can be traced back to the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317 - 420AD) . Lingyin Temple has solemn Buddhism principles, attracting lots of people who come to pay homage. It is one of the top ten Buddhist temples of China.

Originating from India, they date back some 2,230 Years to the Asoka times, when Buddhists built cave temples in which they could practise self-cultivation. Devout Buddhists got sculptures done inside the caves. Peak Flying from Afar:the largest collection and best-known stone carvings dating from the Five Dynasties ,Song and Yuan Dynasties (10th~14th century)in southeast China.
