  3. The SOLUTION • AIR Saturday – Academic Instruction Recovery • Was seen by students and parents as punitive • Busy work or no work • Did not address the “Real Problem” • AIR Saturday – Always Improving Relationships • Attendance improved? • CRCT Scores improved? • Grades improved?

Gallup Poll Gallup Poll Results – Drive our decision to continue AIR Saturday. • “Engagement” The involvement in and enthusiasm for school. • “Hope” Hope is more predictive of academic success than traditional measures • “Well Being” How students are doing today and predicts their success in the future. 72% Veterans students polled were thriving. 45% of US students are struggling or suffering.
