  5. Environmental Issues • Habitat Degradation Effects this river. • This causes the loss of tree cover which makes temperatures rise in the river, affecting the plants and animals that live here.

  6. Physical Facts • This river is 6,330 sq. miles • 1,460 sq. miles of it are in Georgia.

  7. Why is this River Important? • It has many threatened animals living in it’s environment. • It is also a source for draining when Lake Lamonia floods.
