  2. What is imagery? • Imagery- what you visualize when you are reading something. • Imagery- the collection of images within a literary work. Used to evoke atmosphere, mood, tension.

Literary example #1 I wandered lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.   For oft, when on my couch I lie In vacant or in pensive mood, They flash upon that inward eye Which is the bliss of solitude; And then my heart with pleasure fills, And dances with the daffodils.
