  1. Why is Sian so keen to go on the Year 6 trip to Normandy? Humanities competition for Year 6 pupils moving to Crickhowell High School in September 2006

  2. Catrin married Bryn early in the year 1944. She was just 20 years old. Two weeks later he left her behind. They never met again.

  3. Bryn was born in 1945. For many years he worked as a policeman in London. Now he is retired. He never knew his dad who died in the war.

  4. Every summer Dewi visited Wales to stay with his granny. In his teens he met and fell in love with Eleri. In 1985 he moved to Crickhowell permanently and got a job with Hippo Campo. Now he could marry Eleri.

  5. Sian is 10. She loves History. Her primary school is organising a trip to Normandy. Sian really wants to go. It means so much to her and all of her family. She particularly wants to visit Pegasus Bridge as her great granny has told her so much about it.
