  2. Introduction • Blackboard Vista replaces WebCT CE • Phase 1 & 2 pilots complete • Phase 3 of the Blackboard implementation underway • Migration of courses from WebCT • Today we will: • Showcase some Pilot BB courses • Outline Staff Support • Make time for Q & A

Blackboard Vista replaces WebCT CE • Blackboard (BB) is the new VLE for UoM • BB is fully integrated with Campus Solutions unlike WebCT • All new VLE course development for academic year 2008/2009 should take place in BB from Feb 08 • From Feb 08 the Phase 3 roll out of BB • Every course unit in Campus Solutions has a dedicated presence in Blackboard; all first level course units should have a Blackboard module meeting the minimum requirements for delivery in session 2008-09

  4. Showcase • Showcase 3 BB courses: • Communication in Education • eLearning Essentials • CAMILLE • These courses illustrate some of the new features found in the BB VLE • eLearning Essentials is a support site for designers

Staff Support (1) • Principal site to support eLearning at UoM • www.manchester.ac.uk/elearning • To learn more about using BB, you can self-enrol on 2 very useful courses: • eLearning Essentials • Familiarise yourself with Blackboard • BB Training Workshops • From principal eLearning website: • www.manchester.ac.uk/elearning/traindevelop/workshops/
