  7. About his last days,Milankovic wrote: „Teško je pojedincu da pravilno oceni svoje duhovne sposobnosti. I budala sebe smatra pametnim. O sebi mogu kazati, otprilike, ovo. Logika mojih misli i pravilnost njihovih zaključaka još je tu, ali se misli kreću tromije, kao da su im se otrcala krila. Ipak, odblesne u njima po koja orginalna značajna ideja. Milutin Milankovic died on December 12,1958. in Belgrade.

  8. Milankovic is best known for his theory of ice ages, suggesting a relationship between Earth's long-term climate changes and periodic changes in its orbit, now known as Milankovitch cycles.

  9. He made the most accurate calendar ever. The length of the tropical year is 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes and 46 seconds and Milankovic has achived accuracy of 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes and 48 seconds. Only 2 seconds longer! Milanković is the main „offender" who proved that on Mars can be no civilized life, because his calculations showed that the temeratures are too low. There are 2 craters that are named after Milankovic:one on the far side of Moon and one on Mars called 1605 Milankovic. NASA has chosen Milankovic in the top 10 scientists who have studied the Earth.
