  1. Plains Indians By: Luke Dandar and Carlos Rodriguez

  2. The Tribe Names • The tribe names were the Blackfoot, Cheyenne, Comanche, Pawnee, Shoshone, and Sioux.

  3. The plains Indians didn’t have very many trees. So they relied on the Buffalo so they had to move a lot to hunt them. That is why they live in teepees. Teepees made out of large sticks and buffalo hide. They were mostly found in the midwestern area.

  4. How the Indians decided were to live. Indians had lots of reasons to move were they did such as. They would move were there are some trees. They also moved were there was food, shelter, and water. They would also move were there are fruits and vegetables.

  5. Plains Indians Facts In olden times the women didn’t have a say in the government. The village would select a chief and the chief would serve for life. • All the adult men were in the village council. • The Sioux believed in underwater spirits. • They also believed these spirits controlled all plants and animals.

  6. Then and Now • Here are some reasons the Native Americans are different from us today. The Native Americans think about the present, unlike us we think about the future. The Native Americans also believe if someone is standing out from the crowd they are a show off. Finally the Native Americans usually hunt and cook there food, well we buy are food then cook it.

  7. What We Learned and What were wondering • We learned about the tribes and their culture. We also learned abut the men and women and what they did in the olden times. Were still wondering what were some of the tools they used for different jobs. We were still wondering how did animals for protection, breeding, and for keeping.
