  2. Peacemaking: founding, promoting & maintaining a condition of peace & harmony. • Peace: freedom from strife, conflict & disturbance; not quarrelsome, but calm, serene, quiet, harmonious.

  3. God of peace (Rom 15:33; 16:20; Phil 4:9; 1 Thess 5:23; Heb 13:20) • Prince of peace (Isa 9:6; Luke 2:14) • Promised peace (John 14:27; 16:33) • Promised conflict (Matt 10:34-36) • Terms(John 20:30-31; Acts 17:30; Rom 10:9-10; Acts 2:38; Rom 6:4)

  4. Christ is our peace (Eph 2:14-17) • He preached peace to us (17) • He united us in one body (14, 15) • He reconciled us in that one body to God (16) • “In His flesh”, “through the cross” (15, 16) • “Redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins” (Eph 1:7)

  5. Peacemakers • Making peace w/God(Eph 6:15; Col 1:19-23) • Making peace between others & God (Prov 11:30; 2 Cor 5:20; Rom 10:15)

  6. Peacemakers • Making peace between ourselves & others (Rom 12:18; Heb 12:14; 1 Pet 3:10-11) • In the world (Jas 1:19; Prov 15:1; Rom 12:20) • In the church (Eph 4:32; Matt 5:23-24; 18:15)

  7. Promise “They shall be called Sons of God” “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You” (Isa 26:3).

  8. Hear : gospel of Christ • Acts 2:14; Rom 10:17 Believe: Jesus is Lord /Christ • Rom 10:9-10 Confess: what is believed • Matt 10:32-33; Acts 8:37 Repent: change of heart • Acts 2:38; 17:30 Baptized: forgiveness of sin • Acts 2:38; 22:16; Mk 16:16
