  2. bristly If something is bristly, it is covered with short, stiff hairs. What animals have bristly tails and ample fur?

  3. dreadful • If something is dreadful, it is scary or terrible. If a dreadful noise came from a vase of flowers, would you stare in amazement?

  4. summoning If you are summoning someone, you are calling for the person to come. If you were summoning someone, what would you say?

  5. nuisance A nuisance is something or someone that bothers you. Thumbs up for a nuisance, thumbs down for not a nuisance. Ready? Eating pizza yelling Hiking with your family Poking a person in the arm

  6. sedentary If you have a sedentary job or lifestyle, you are sitting down most of the time. If you wanted to be sedentary for a day, what would you do?

  7. oblige When you oblige someone you help the person. What is one way in which a family member obliges you?

  8. sway Sway means to move back and forth gently. What are some objects that might sway in the wind?

  9. boasting Someone who is boasting is telling other people wonderful things about himself or herself. Which is boasting? I will clean the table. I know I will win first place.

  10. adamant When someone is adamant about something, he or she is very determined and won’t change his or her mind about it. If you were adamant about winning the contest, what would you say?

  11. inevitable If something is inevitable, it cannot be avoided or stopped. What is inevitable on a very rainy day?
