  1. Jim Corrington, Jr. Named Director of Outpatient Services for The Meadows Jim Corrington, Jr., MSW, LCSW, has been named Director of the Meadows Outpatient Center. North Scottsdale, Ariz. (PRWEB) February 10, 2015 -- Jim Corrington, Jr., MSW, LCSW, has been named Director of the new Meadows Outpatient Center, an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for addictions, trauma, and other conditions based on Pia Mellody’s renowned Meadows Model of Developmental Immaturity. “I am extremely grateful,” says Corrington, “to serve as Director of The Meadows Outpatient Center. This role is a culmination of my decades of work in the field of addiction and it’s one that’s close to my heart. I’m honored to serve the recovery community by way of this innovative and eagerly awaited Center.” The Center, which offers an eight-week IOP, is scheduled to open next month. Corrington, who spent nearly 30 years in the recovery field as Director/Therapist for numerous outpatient programs, began his own personal journey of recovery more than 30 years ago. As a result, he brings a wealth of valuable insight and passion into his new position. In addition, he has been working with the Arizona Medical Board and Arizona Board of Pharmacy for 15 years monitoring programs for designated professionals. The Meadows Outpatient Center, which also houses a large Conference Center for workshops geared to behavioral health professionals, offers a seamless transition from The Meadows’ inpatient programs in Wickenburg, Arizona. The Center will spotlight a host of modalities, including a progressive Brain Spa featuring neurofeedback and other offerings; trauma-sensitive yoga; EMDR; somatic experiencing; art therapy; group and individual therapy; and family sessions. Since recovery is an ongoing process, Corrington is launching a Recovery Enhancement Group for Meadows alumni. Individuals who attend the new IOP do not necessarily have to go through The Meadows inpatient program to attend. “A huge piece of what makes our IOP so unique,” says Corrington, “is that Pia Mellody and Dr. Claudia Black were and continue to be directly involved in the clinical formulation of our IOP model. While many treatment centers in the country use material created by Meadows’ Senior Fellows, these same Meadows’ Senior Fellows will be conducting workshops, lectures, and other events at our North Scottsdale location. Our goal is to honor the Meadows Model in an outpatient setting, and we’re accomplishing this mission through this important introduction into the recovery community.” About The Meadows The Meadows is an industry leader in treating trauma and addiction through its inpatient and workshop programs. The Meadows helps change lives through the Meadows Model, 12-step practices, and the holistic healing of mind, body, and spirit. For additional information, visit The Meadows at www.themeadows.com.
