  2. The International Day of Happiness is celebrated every year on March 20th to promote happiness, well-being, and joy around the world. The day was first introduced by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012 to recognize the importance of happiness and well-being as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of people around the world. The idea behind the International Day of Happiness is to create awareness about the importance of happiness and well-being, and to encourage individuals, organizations, and governments to take action to promote happiness and well-being in their communities and societies. The theme for International Day of Happiness 2023 is "Happier Together" which emphasizes the importance of social connections and relationships in promoting happiness and well-being. It encourages people to come together and celebrate the things that make them happy and to create new opportunities for happiness and joy. On this day, people all over the world participate in various activities and events to promote happiness and well-being. Some of the common activities include community gatherings, cultural events, volunteering, random acts of kindness, and spreading positivity and happiness on social media. Research shows that happiness is not just a personal feeling but is also linked to a range of benefits including better physical and mental health, increased productivity, and better social relationships. Therefore, it is important for individuals, organizations, and governments to take steps to promote happiness and well-being in their communities. Governments around the world have recognized the importance of happiness and well- being and have taken steps to measure and promote them. For example, the United Arab Emirates has a minister of state for happiness and well-being, and Bhutan uses the Gross National Happiness index to measure the well-being of its citizens. In conclusion, the International Day of Happiness is a reminder that happiness and well-being are important goals and aspirations for everyone around the world. It is an opportunity for individuals, organizations, and governments to come together and promote happiness and well-being in their communities and societies. Let us all take a
