It is one of the most successful teams in the history of the IPL, having won the tournament a record five times. The team is owned by India's biggest conglomerate, Reliance Industries, and is captained by Indian cricket team stalwart Rohit Sharma. The Mumbai Indians were founded in 2008, the same year the IPL was introduced, and have since then been one of the most consistent teams in the tournament. The team has always had a strong core of Indian players, including the likes of Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and Krunal Pandya, but has also been known to recruit some of the best international players in the world. The Mumbai Indians' success can be attributed to their well-rounded team, with a perfect mix of batsmen, bowlers, and all-rounders. They have a strong top-order batting lineup with Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock, who have formed a formidable opening partnership over the years.
