Abciximab results • Abciximab with coronary stenting as compared with coronary stenting alone resulted in a significant reduction in the primary end point at 30 days (6.0% vs 14.6%, p=0.01) • The benefit of active treatment at 6monthswith the similar composite of death, reinfarction or urgent revascularisation of target vessel occurring in 7.4% of Abciximab group, as compared with 15.9% in the placebo group (p=0.02) • The clinical outcomes in the abciximab group related to higher frequency of TIMI grade 3 coronary blood flow as compared to the placebo group(before procedure, 16.8%vs. 5.4%; immediately after intervention, 95.1% vs. 86.7%; six months after, 94.3% vs 82.8%, all p< 0.05)
