B A Y A R E A R E G I O N AL E X P R E S S L A N E N E T W O R K Options Under Existing Law • Until December 31, 2011, CTC can grant authority to MTC for 2 express lane “facilities” (including conversions) in Northern California AB 1467 (Torrico, 2006) as amended by AB 798 (Nava, 2009) • California Transportation Financing Authority can give MTC authority to bond finance express lanes and implement them AB 798 (Nava, 2009) • CTC can authorize MTC P3 SB 4 (Codgill, 2009) • Already authorized express lanes could become part of the network through negotiated agreements among willing partners M E T R O P O L I T A N T R A N S P O R T A T I O N C O M M I S S I O N
