  1. African Wildlife By:Emma and Tabitha

  2. African Animals • Africa is famous for it’s wildlife, which include animals that can only be found in some of it’s countries. These include: • The Zorilla • The Pancake tortoise

  3. More African Animals • The giant sable Antelope • The Potto • The Bonobo

  4. Endangered Animals • The Cheetah • The African Penguin • African Elephant

  5. Giraffes Giraffes are very tall (kind of like Mr. Gorman) They have 12 inch tongues which they use to clean their ears . There are less then 80,000 giraffes in the world. The giraffes are the tallest animal in the world (I thought Mr. Gorman was the tallest...) Young giraffes are called calves. Giraffes can live up to 25 years, and grow up to 18 ft.

  6. Elephants • A adult elephant’s trunk grows up to 7ft aka 2 metres.{same size as Mr. Gorman} • When Elephants drink water it sucks up about 2 gallons {7.5 litres} of water. • Elephants give birth when they are 13 years of age. • A baby elephant is 2 ½ feet tall.

  7. Zebras • Zebra are part of the equidae family along with horse and donkeys. • Every zebra has a unique pattern of black and white stripes. • Zebra crossings (pedestrian crossings) are named after the black and white stripes of zebras

  8. African Safari • Back in time is where an African Safari should take you. Forget the hassles of the daily life back at home and capture the peace and relaxation of the heart and soul of Africa.

  9. Why we picked this topic • We picked this topic because we like animals and we think people should know more about African animals. Emma’s favourite animal is: a Giraffe Tabitha’s favourite animal is: Baby Elephants
