  3. Pad Response Function (PRF) • The coupling strength between cathode pads and sense wires depends on the distance between the pads and the electron avalanches. • Pulse height on pad number i for a given azimuthal position x of the avalanche above the pad row : Pad Response Width

  4. Purpose 1. Set Correct Hits 2. Reduce Residual

  5. Pad Response Width (NTPC)

  6. Pad Response Width : Pad Width : Diffusion : Angular Wire Effects

  7. Three-Pad Cluster • If three pads with pulse heights P1, P2 and P3 contribute to a cluster.
