  1. Jay Sawyer Lists A Few Ways to Promote World Peace Jay Sawyer is a Glenview, IL based experienced environmentalist and an advocate for world peace. He strongly believes that world peace can be sprouted, grown, and flourished at individual levels and that it is important we look at our contribution before pondering over what has been happening miles away from us. Jay Sawyer has also shared a few suggestions on what can be done to contribute to this cause. These include: Contemplate any disagreement you have with the people around you. They could be relatives, friends, or coworkers. Peaceful coexistence starts with compromises and everyone needs to give in order to take. Do some mental exercise imagining if there is anything you can start liking about people you don’t like and dwell on that even for today only. You could be planting the seed for a future peaceful coexistence with these people. If you are a member of any religious organization that encourages giving a peace greeting, take that greeting seriously for once and do not give your greeting like an automaton. Jay Sawyer emphasizes that our religions have not been lacking in structures to promote peace; it's just that very few of their members take those structures seriously. Do some introspection and consider if you yourself are at peace with yourself. You are not in a position to promote peace if you cannot even do that with yourself. Your inner struggle with yourself contains the potentialities of all the conflicts you will be having with the world and everything in it. Becoming aware of your own internal strife is your first step towards finding a solution. As far as his personal life is concerned, Jay Sawyer is an avid biker and hiker. He has biked more than 200 miles over the last 6 years. As an advocate of world peace, he has been supporting the UN for quite some time now.
