  2. What is Alpine Skiing? Alpineskiing is the sport of sliding down snow-covered hills on skis with fixed-heel bindings. It is also commonly known as downhill skiing. Bindings : is an attachment that anchors a ski boot to the ski.

  3. Countries and Competitors The are 88 different countries participating in the 2014 Sochi, Olympic games. There are more than 10 000 competitors at the Olympics this year.

  11. What is Super – G skiing? Super giant slalom or Super - G is a racing discipline of alpine skiing. Along with the faster downhill, it is regarded as a "speed" event, in contrast to the technical events giant slalom and slalom.
