The Aim of 7.2 BSR Fund develop financial instruments that promote transnational and transregional innovation and research support the coordination of existing (2007-2013) and new funding (2014- forward) for innovation and research at the EU, national and regional levels as well as private funding EU2020 strategy and the Innovation union strategy

  3. Two folded objective: Supporting the process of finding financing of pilot projects within Chapter 7, especially BSR Stars Investigating obstacles/possibilities of financing transnational/transregional cooperation in innovation and research BSR Stars and its pilot projects constitute a Living Lab for testing financial solutions

  4. Finding the bases of a more efficient and effective financial system characterised by being multi-level and involving multi-stakeholders EU, member states, regions, Labgroup, banks (e.g. EIB,NIB), industry, … Presenting “evidence” from activities related to Objective A Presenting possible solutions

  5. Status of flagship, activities near future, bottlenecks Flagship in planning phase Short term activities – Autumn 2010 meeting with partners, January 2010: decision on action plan and on solving the financing of the management of the flagship BSR Fund 7.2 Bottlenecks: Problematic finalising planning phase of flagship –funding needs to be secured Clear mandate from the EU Commission is needed
