  4. Minor Ailments Scheme What makes a good minor ailments scheme? • Efficient • Save NHS resources • Simple procedures • Accepted by pharmacists and GPs • Harmonising patient care

  5. Research • Improve patient care and quality assurance • Develop new treatments and regimes • Career enhancement • Utilise skills to their full potential • Gain new skills and experience

  6. Free NHS Health Check • Pharmacies providing similar Health Checks • The Health Checks are paper based • Information sharing with GP practices • SystmOneaccess • Advice, signposting and referrals • Piloting NHS Health Checks

  7. Health and Lifestyle Promotion • Promoting health and wellbeing • Advice to help improve patients health • Diet and exercise leads to happy patients • Knock-on effects in many areas: • Depression incidences reduced • Decreased diabetes risk • Decreased CHD risk
