  3. P: Play • What? • Its important to play for 60 minutes everyday • How? • Go outside and play on the playground • Play tag • Join a sport

  4. E: Eat Healthy • What? • Follow the food pyramid • How? • Eat the proper amount of each different types of food everyday. Make sure you limit your oils and fats too!!

  5. R: Rest • What? • Its important that kids ages 9-11 get 10 hours of sleep each night. It gives your body time to recover and grow! • How? • Go to sleep at your bedtime every night. • Take a nap if you were really busy during the day.

  6. K: Be Kind to Others • What? • Be kind to your friends, classmates, family and grownups! Being kind will keep you happy and emotionally healthy. • How? • Use your manners (say “please” and “thank you”) • Include others in play.

  7. Y: Yuck • What? • Don’t use drugs or smoke cigarettes. They are bad for your body and will make you unhealthy. • How? • Just say no! • If a friend offers you drugs or a cigarette, tell them “No thank you, I don’t smoke.”
