  1. Checking out me HistoryLearning Objective To explore how and why Agard uses metaphors and layout to get his point across.

  2. Answer these questions using a PEE format. • Do you think the first stanza is a good introduction to the poem? Why/why not? • Highlight any ideas which appear in stanza 1 and 2 and the last stanza? • What similarities do you notice about the stanzas that make up the middle part (3, 4, 5 and 6)?
