Introduction • Aims: offer students combination of technology, policy and management knowledge • Targetsgroups • Engineers from telecom industry: advance their career • Fresh engineers: improve their employability chances • Program significance: was identified through several surveys and consultation with the industry • Expected outcomes: produce qualified/experienced engineers who can compete in local and regional telecom. markets.

  4. Rationale • Through consulting with industry: • Knowledge & skills developed in undergraduates are inadequate to address the requirements of managing telecom. Systems • Many engineers from Telecom companies pursued MBA programs to improve their managerial, personal & analytical skills • MBA do’t provide graduates with up-to-date technical knowledge required for a successful career in managing Telecom companies

  5. Objectives • Prepare Telecom engineers to be successful managers in Telecom business environments • Create Telecom professional who is • Technically up-to-date • Business-minded • Highly in tune with the policy issues associated with the dynamically changing Telecom industry

  15. Elective courses: 9 credit hours Group I: 6 credit hours Group II: 3 credit hours

Teaching and Venue • Program will be held at Prince Faisal Center in Amman • Technical courses will be taught by YU telecom. staff • Management courses will be taught by staff from YU college of economics & GJU business school • Possibility of delivering some courses through video conferencing
