Thoth facts • Wisdom is knowledge gained by many experiences. • Thoth is the god of wisdom, writing, and the moon. • He is one of the oldest Egyptian gods. • His name animal is the baboon, which he thought was a smart animal. • Thoth possessed many books containing secrets of nature and magic.   3. Thoth facts (cont.) • He was often seen with an ibis head. • In Greek mythology, he is known as Hermes. • He is the inventor of all spoken and written languages. • He served as a mediating power, mostly between good and evil. • He is known as the heart and tongue of Ra, the sun god.
