1. Submit Development Stipend Application Form Find Course Development information and forms at: http://outreach.missouristate.edu/onlinecourseproposalform.htm (NOTE: Form is available approximately 6 weeks prior to submission deadlines) • Fill-able online • Insert Destination FOAP • Route in order of signature lines • Courses must be submitted on or before the beginning of the semester targeted for development * This process applies only to courses requesting the Development Stipend.Deans and Department Heads may only receive the stipend for their departments. Stipends transferred to a department cannot be applied for use by any faculty or staff personally. * Departments should provide the FOAP for ease in processing.
2. MS Online Tracks & Processes Application Forms • MS Online office will: • Email a notice of receipt for stipend application to Faculty, Deans, Department Heads, Admin Assistants. • Seek Provost Office approval to develop for stipend • Email approval/denial notice to all involved (Faculty, Dean, Department Head, Admin Assistant, College Budget Officer for departmental tracking) • Email notices include next steps for development
3. Development Process for Faculty to Receive Stipend • The following are required for payment: • Attend one of the DPA orientations or meet with Instructional Designers in the FCTL. • Complete 16 weeks of course content prior to Peer Review. • Participate in DPA Peer Review. • Visit http://www.missouristate.edu/fctl/DPA.htm for Digital Professor Academy (DPA) program and registration information. Allow approximately 2-4 weeks for Peer Review. It is important that faculty developing online courses for the stipend complete their peer review during the semester they are scheduled to participate in the DPA. Failure to complete the peer review during the semester approved for development may result in the forfeiture of the stipend.
4. Payment Process and PAF Submission** • Developers must fulfill all requirements prior to payment. • Director of Online provides final approval to the Office of the Provost to release payment for certified courses. • Once funds are released/transferred, MS Online will notify the Dean, Dept. Head, Faculty, Admin and Budget Officer via email when supporting funds have been transferred. • PAFs should not be sent before transfer funds are available. ** Departments may choose to pre-pay faculty in good faith. Reimbursement occurs once the course is completed and fulfills all requirements for payment. If course does not fulfill requirements, no reimbursement will be made.
