The concept • A new way of collaboration within CERGOP • Keeps the basic objectives of CERGOP valid • Ensure long term survival of CEGRN (management, maintenance and operation) • Provides abinding institutional basis by a formal MOA • Open to all CERGOP participants • Fits to European research policy trends IAG Gen.Assembly, 05.09.2001. The basic commitments • Establish and maintain the CEGRN sites • Carry out the 5 days GPS measurements in every second year and/or operate the permanent stations • Operate the CEGRN data-centre and processing centres. • Participate in the upgrade and development of CEGRN • Highest quality assurance • Participate in the CEGRN Consortium Governing Board (CCGB) IAG Gen.Assembly, 05.09.2001. Multi-level roles of the institutes • Division of roles: facility and users (research) • Basic activities (e.g. sites, measurements, data) • Added functions (e.g. data centre, processing centre etc.) • Partial participation of specific research projects • Data access control - data property rights IAG Gen.Assembly, 05.09.2001.
