Research at Work • Streamline process for FDA approval of drugs and medical devices through three unprecedented programs: • Predictive Safety Testing Consortium • Coalition Against Major Disease • Patient-Reported Outcomes Consortium • Sustainable mining : • Addressing major challenges in management of mineral resources • By lessening environmental and health impact of mining activities • Building capacity for R&D in Yavapai, Safford, Phoenix & Maricopa • Jet A fuel from algae: • Research on algae strains, bioreactors, harvest, drying & oil extraction • Scaling of algae production • Relevance to sustainability & homeland security
